Informal Reception to Meet Minnijean Brown-Trickey

San Mateo County Community Colleges Foundation had the privilege of having Minniejean as a surprise guest speaker at our Chancellor’s Circle event this past November. Minnijean Brown-Trickey is one of the “Little Rock Nine” and she is teaching “Landmarks of Civil Rights” being offered throughout the San Mateo County Community College District this semester.

The Center for Innovation and Excellence in Teaching and Learning (made possibly by a grant from San Mateo County Community Colleges Foundation) and the Center for Student Life and Leadership Present a lecture by former Cañada College President and Foundation Board member Thomas Mohr titled, “Thoughts About Leadership in a Complex Environment.”
The lecture is free and open to the public. There will be time for questions and discussion at the end of the lecture. Refreshments will be served.

Skyline College’s Heart Wrenchers Car Club Presents: The 2nd Annual “A Heart Wrenching Affair” Fundraiser to support the female students in the Skyline College Automotive Technology Program. The event proceeds benefit HWCC activities and projects. San Mateo County Community Colleges Foundation is a proud supporter of the Heart Wrenchers Club.

The President’s Breakfast is the most important fundraising event for Skyline College’s President’s Innovation Fund. This fund provides important seed money for innovative programs and services pioneered by Skyline College’s faculty and staff.
We hope that you will join us for a delicious breakfast, networking and presentations about these outstanding programs and the students that they benefit. Attendees will be given the opportunity to donate to the President’s Innovation Fund.

San Mateo County Community Colleges Foundation 2nd Annual Golf Tournament

San Mateo County Community Colleges Foundation’s First Annual Golf Tournament was optimistically expected to raise $25,000 for San Mateo County community college students. Instead, the sponsors, attendees, and champions of the tournament helped raise an astonishing $60,000! The 2012 event will help the Foundation continue to provide scholarships and meaningful programs for San Mateo County Community College students. For photos and more on last year’s event, click here.
