Ways to Give

There are many ways you can help students achieve their educational goals. Support the San Mateo County Community Colleges Foundation by:

Make a Donation Online

San Mateo County Community Colleges Foundation depends upon public donations to continue its work. You can help! Making a donation through our secure server is fast and easy, and when we receive your donation, we will send you an acknowledgement in the mail for tax purposes. Click the button below to make a donation.

With the GiveDirect credit card processing service, no fees are taken on your Visa or Mastercard donation. We receive 100% of your gift. A low fee of 2.85% is deducted from American Express donations. So give with confidence. GiveDirect.

Please Note: We use a nonprofit service to process our credit card transactions. LOC IND CH ORG is the name that will appear on your credit card statement-not SMCCC Foundation. Using this service helps keep costs low and allows us to allocate more resources directly toward programs and scholarships.

Donate a Vehicle – Let your old car provide new hope to a student
No needs to place for-sale ads, take phone calls, schedule appointments, meet with strangers in your home or haggle with dealers over price. If your vehicle is running or not (in most cases), you can turn it into a gift to support local college students. We do the paperwork and you receive an income tax deduction.

Include the Foundation in your Estate Plan

Wealth is not a requirement-only planning. A planned gift often results in a contribution much larger than you ever thought possible.

Stock donations accepted

Gifts of marketable stocks or mutual fund shares that have increased in value can have an immediate impact and also create an immediate income tax deduction for you based on the assets’ current value.

Matching Gifts

Many donors multiply their support by making use of their employer’s matching gift programs. To find out if your company participates in such a program, ask your HR department.
